Travelers dreaming of seamless access to the slopes will soon have a new option: sleep on a train in Paris and wake up in the heart of the French Alps. This is the promise of Travelski, a subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), which has announced the launch of a new overnight train connecting Paris to the popular alpine ski resorts.

Developed in partnership with the French rail company Pegasus Train, the Travelski Night Express will transport passengers from the French capital to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the Savoie region. The service is scheduled to begin for the 2025-2026 winter season.

According to CDA, the route will include key alpine stations such as Aime, Moûtiers, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The train will depart from Paris on Friday evenings and arrive in the Alps on Saturday mornings. Return trips are set for Saturday nights with arrivals back in Paris by Sunday morning. This schedule is designed to give skiers the opportunity to enjoy a full eight-day stay on the slopes.

Travel packages for the Travelski Night Express are expected to start at around €800 per person. These deals will include transport to the ski resorts upon arrival, and can also cover lodging, ski passes, and equipment rental. The goal is to offer a comprehensive and hassle-free ski holiday experience.

To enhance comfort during the journey, the night train will feature 660 sleeping berths and a bar-restaurant car. In total, 14 round-trip journeys are planned between December 19, 2025, and March 20, 2026.

Nicolas Delord, Director of Travelfactory, emphasized the added value of this initiative, particularly for travelers increasingly mindful of their environmental footprint. “The launch of the Travelski Night Express offers a sustainable travel alternative that already shows strong appeal among our customers,” he stated.

Reservations for this new rail experience will open in May, allowing ski enthusiasts to plan their next alpine adventure well in advance.
